Furnace Maintenance

Here are the best times for preventative maintenance on furnaces: 

For a system that heats & cools: Spring & Fall

For the cooling system only: Once a year before the cooling season (Mid-April to Early May)

Furnace system only: Once a year before the heating season (Mid-October to Early November)

HVAC Maintenance

Pure Aire offers Bi-Annual preventative maintenance to ensure that your system runs as efficiently as possible. 

Below are the tasks to be taken with Preventative Maintenance agreements per unit type.

Inspect unit for proper refrigerant level and adjust if necessary.

Clean dirt, leaves, and debris from inside the cabinet.

2.

Inspect base pan for restricted drain openings – remove obstructions as necessary.

3.

Inspect coil and cabinet – clean as needed.

4.

Inspect fan motor and fan blades for wear and damage – on older models lubricate as needed.

5.

Inspect control box, associated controls/accessories, wiring and connections. Controls may include contactors, relays, circuit boards, capacitors,  and other accessories. All control box and electrical parts should be checked for wear or damage.

6.

Inspect compressor for damage.

7.

Upon completion, you will be provided a system operation report and recommended repairs or replacements as necessary.

Outdoor Units

Indoor Units

Inspect and clean blower assembly (includes blower housing, blower wheel, and motor) On older models, lubricate motor and inspect, replace fan belt if needed.

1.

Check combustion blower housing for lint and debris and clean as necessary.

2.

Inspect evaporator coil, burner assembly, ignition system and safety controls, heat exchanger/heating elements, flue system, control boxes, wiring, and connections.

3.

Clean or replace air filters.

4.

Inspect the conditioned airflow system (ductwork) for leaks. 

5.

While your system is running we will check for: abnormal noise, source of unusual odors, monitor AC & Heat pump systems for correct refrigerant charge, check vent system, monitor system for correct line & load volts/amps, measure high & low side system pressures, measure indoor dry & wet bulb temps, as well as the outdoor dry bulb temp.

6.

Upon completion, you will be provided a system operation report and recommended repairs or replacements as necessary.
